I believe founders must put DEI at the top of their priority lists early on. Even if you set aside the moral argument to build a more inclusive future, lack of diversity creates a built-in trust gap, setting up a company for needless struggles and risk. This playbook collects resources and tools for founders to apply a DEI lens from the earliest days of company building.
In partnership with the City of New York, the City Fellowship was launched in 2022. This initiative offers the network and resources of the venture capital ecosystem and the inroads with city government in support of NYC social entrepreneurs working in the areas of economic equity and climate justice.
Boost Founder Fellowship is a pre-accelerator for historically underserved founders in NYC’s venture community. I have developed with support from the City to connects Black, Brown, Latine, womxn and LGBTQ+ founders with resources to catalyze their businesses — including culturally competent mentorship and technical assistance.
